I Have Good News

Living at the time of a pandemic and the many agonising events going on around the world has been overwhelming, and disturbing everyone’s state of mind, peace, and joy.

I will be sharing some insight, and good news from all over the world as my attempt to spread some light into everyone’s lives as well as restore faith in humanity.

Power To The People

Even though we haven’t been able to do much at all because of the pandemic, people have still united from all over the world to fight for justice.

A couple examples include, the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, the student’s march in Thailand, and the farmer’s protest in India which, has become the world’s biggest protest movement!

This shows that human compassion and unity can be a powerful force to try and bring change!

And most importantly that human compassion still exists, regardless of the numerous, ridiculous things we hear daily.

A much-needed change that also occurred was when the USA elected Joe Biden!

Trump has finally been removed from office.

This has been a relief for many American citizens as well as for many people around the world. Trump was very unpredictable, and you could only trust him to do the worst.

Let’s hope that President Biden paves a good path and reunites America again.

Pandemic

The pandemic has made many people face the toughest moments of their lives.

But for some, the pandemic has really brought an opportunity to relax and re-connect.

Personally, the time spent at home has given me so much clarity. Being able to read more books and work on what truly matters to me has also enabled me to focus on my personal growth journey.

As we all live a very tight-scheduled, busy life, the time that has been unintentionally allocated to us revealed what truly is important.

We have been able to spend more time with our families. Many have rekindled their relationships or created a stronger bond with one another and connected spiritually.

Even though a lot of businesses have suffered, many people have found opportunities to start a business from home.

The news has always been blinding us from seeing the light that still exists. It’s not all bad.

Look around you…there’s someone that just got engaged, there’s someone that is getting married, there’s someone that just gave birth, there’s someone that just bought a new house.

That is awesome!

Environment

Due to the closure of factories… and pretty much everything else (LOL), the Earth has also been able to take a breath.

Emission and pollution levels all around the world - specifically, China have decreased, resulting in better air quality.

The sky has looked clear and so have the oceans.

Honestly, I don’t really understand why the use of sanitisers was not a “thing” pre-coronavirus.

Hygiene should have always been a priority.

But anyway, the Governments all around the world have implemented mandatory hygiene and safety resources to ensure that the virus transmission numbers stay low.

If you didn’t know already, Africa has been working on building the Great Green Wall since 2007.

They want to grow 8,000km of trees and plants around the width of Africa. This will aid to helping fight against climate change globally, provide food and water security as well as jobs in Africa.

They aim to have the Great Green Wall finished by 2030.

Acts Of Kindness

There are many unseen acts of kindness that occur every day, all around the globe.

I have recently read a story about a community that worked together to restore a house for a 94-year-old WW2 veteran, so that he could go back home.

It’s nice to hear that his work and sacrifice did not go in vain.

Bernie Sanders's memes have taken over the internet in the past few weeks. But he has decided to use that as an initiative to raise money for charity.

Him and his mittens have been able to raise over $1.8 million!

I have seen many local acts of kindness in London.

One that really stood out to me was a story about a man called Sensei Onkar Singh. He leaves bags of food outside his house to feed the homeless or those in need as well as shoes.

A great humanitarian organisation called, Khalsa Aid has been recognised for their years of charitable work around the globe and has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Their team of strong faith and principles such as, "Recognise the human race  as one", have contributed enormously towards the wellbeing of war-torn places and much more!

YouTube & Music

I believe that there is a lot of good in the world and it’s overlooked, especially when it comes to social media platforms and the music industry.

Other than the usual complaints and negativity around these subjects, there’s certainly a lot of positive aspects.

Music is a major part of my life. It has always been a way for me to move forward from any situation.

The possibility to use music as a part of my healing process came through artists and writers that pour their heart out and make relatable songs, which I am immensely grateful for!

Of course, music is also great for triggering memories and taking you back to a significant time.

There are many artists that make motivating, joyful and healing music.

An example being, Jhene Aiko. She uses sound bowls in her songs.

These sound bowls have a certain frequency that tune in with our energy levels called chakras; ultimately making you feel good and balanced.

Isn’t that amazing?!

YouTube is probably my most used social media platform. This has been such a great platform for people to share all kinds of talents and knowledge.

There is content for everything! A YouTuber that I’ve recently been binge-watching is Mr Beast, (MrBeast is his channel name).

He makes income through making videos on YouTube and selling his merchandise.

He has a team of friends that do various, unique challenges and are very entertaining to watch.

He then uses that money to give back through his challenges. And has also supported his community, businesses, charities, random people on the streets and his followers!

I think he came up with such a brilliant idea and it has worked exceptionally well as he’s changed so many people’s lives!

Bob Proctor is another great person that I admire and follow on YouTube - Proctor Gallagher Institute is the name of his channel.

He has been studying the mind and the law of attraction for about 50 years! Bob teaches and encourages people to go after their dreams.

He makes everything seem possible by giving logical explanations and has changed many people’s lives.

Just knowing that there are people that truly care and want everyone to do well, is an eye-opener.

This makes me feel good and I believe that it is great news!

There are millions of more stories, acts of kindness and good deeds that occur but have not been covered in this short blog.

I wanted to write about a few occasions to stress the fact that great and good things always happen.

If you seek good you will always find it.

Read, comment, let me know what you think and share good news!
